Two kinds of work
Flat on the bed, round on the rotary.
The HP-2440 does both on one machine. The rotary sits on the bed when you need it and comes out when you don’t. The photos show the rotary in an LS-1420; it works the same way in this machine.
Flat work
Cutting area 21.2″ x 38.5″ (540 x 980 mm). Organics and thin metal; marks treated metal.

Round work
Tumblers, glassware and mugs on the PiBurn V roller; tapered, handled and heavy pieces in the Grip 2. Turn the rotary on in the software, enter the part’s diameter, and run the job.

Questions before you order.
Which rotary fits the HP-2440?
The PiBurn V and PiBurn Grip 2 in the 3-phase versions, which fit the LS-1630, LS-2440, LS-3655, HP-2440 and HP-3655. This page only offers the versions that fit, so there’s nothing to match up.
Can I change the HP-2440’s options in the package?
The HP-2440 is sold in one configuration, so the only choice is the rotary. For anything else, ask the Spec Desk.
Does the HP-2440 cut metal?
Thin metal, yes. Boss lists the HP-2440 for organics and thin metal; the HP adds a metal-cutting head to the LS-2440 base. If metal is your main job, look at a fiber cutter instead.
How is the HP-2440 delivered, and will it fit through my door?
It ships crated at 84″ L x 47″ W x 48″ H, 1,300 lb. Measure your doorway and the path to where the machine will sit against that before it ships. Uncrating makes it smaller. The Spec Desk can help plan delivery.
