Boss Team Tech Support: Knowledge Base & Applications Hub

Privacy Policy

This page explains what team.bosslaser.com — the Boss Laser Support Hub — collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this site only. For Boss Laser, LLC’s company-wide statement, including the main store at bosslaser.com, see the Boss Laser privacy policy.

This site is a support and reference library. There are no user accounts, no comments, and no checkout here — the only information you give us directly is what you type into one of our two contact forms.

What you give us

Two forms on this site send information to Boss Laser. Nothing is required until you choose to submit one.

Machine and quote enquiries

Your name, email address, phone number and the best time to reach you, plus what you told us about the job: which machine series and model you are considering, the material, the process and operation, whether you are cutting metal and to what specification, your timeline, and any notes you add.

Support requests

Your name, email address, phone number and the best time to reach you, plus your machine series, model and serial number, the issue category and your description of it, what you have already tried, how often it happens, how urgent it is, whether the machine is under warranty, and any photo or video you attach.

If you used the on-site assistant

Some pages offer a guided assistant that helps you narrow down a machine or a fault before you contact anyone. If you use it and then submit a form, a summary of that conversation is submitted with the form, so the person who replies can see what you already worked through instead of asking you to repeat it.

What we collect automatically

Like most websites, this one records how pages are used so we can tell which answers are working. We use four measurement tools, and one of them deserves a plain warning.

  • Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and which links are used.
  • Matomo — the same kind of measurement, but hosted on our own server rather than a third party’s, and configured to run without tracking cookies.
  • Microsoft Clarity — usability measurement, including heatmaps.
  • Jetpack Stats — basic traffic counts.
  • Session recording. Matomo and Microsoft Clarity can record a playback of a visit — the pages you moved through, where you clicked, how far you scrolled, and mouse or touch movement. It is used to find pages that confuse people, not to identify you. Most policies bury this; we would rather you knew. If you would prefer not to be recorded, see Your choices below.

These tools also receive standard technical information your browser sends to any website: your IP address, browser and device type, and the page you came from.

    Cookies and consent

This site loads its measurement tools through Google Tag Manager with Google Consent Mode v2 set to “denied” by default. In practice that means analytics and advertising storage start switched off, and the tools run in a reduced, modelled mode unless that changes. Matomo is configured to run without tracking cookies at all.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Nothing on this site stops working if you do. Microsoft’s handling of Clarity data, and the controls it offers, are covered by the Microsoft privacy statement.

    Who sees what you send

Form submissions go to Boss Laser staff — the sales or technical support people who answer them. They are stored in this site’s own database and in Boss Laser’s contact records, and delivered by email through a transactional mail service. Submissions are also checked by a spam-filtering service before they reach anyone.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. The only parties who receive it are Boss Laser and the service providers described above, who process it on Boss Laser’s behalf.

    How long we keep it

Enquiries and support requests are kept for as long as they are useful to the relationship — a support history is genuinely worth having when the same machine needs attention two years later. Analytics data is retained according to each tool’s own retention settings. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

    Your choices

    • Ask what information we hold about you, and ask for a copy.
    • Ask us to correct it, or to delete it.
    • Ask us to stop contacting you.
    • Ask us to exclude you from session recording.
    • Block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
    • You do not need a reason, and asking costs you nothing.
